About the Wave

Punta de Burros is a reef break, right hand wave, and on a good swell also left break. This wave is stronger than La Lancha and with a little bit of current but still a very enjoyable wave for advanced surfers looking for a smooth wave for cruising, fish boards or long boarding.

Punta Burros sits north of El Anclote and serves up some of the most consistent right-handers in the bay. Quality wave for fish boards, longboards or anything that loves clean walls. The current asks for a little fitness but the reward is worth it.
