About the Wave

La Lancha is a reef break — there are 2 waves, paddle 5 minutes out. It's a very mellow wave with deep reef when it's high tide. There is also a sand break close to shore which makes it perfect for beginners and 1st timers.

One of the most beloved waves in the bay. The 5-minute paddle through deep blue water is part of the magic. Inside section is forgiving — perfect for popping up and trimming. Outside builds when the swell is up.
